Historical Figurative

In the 1970’s I was caught up in Bicentennial fever and very interested in American history. I often did library research on historical figures and incorporated them into my paintings. This was a very nostalgic endeavor. I wasn’t satisfied with merely drawing and painting a single figure. I began to combine found images. This process of combining images and shapes continues to this day.
